Pitch International, the UK-based sports marketing agency, has acquired a majority stake in D&G Group, the corporate events and fundraising experiences firm launched by former Middlesex cricketer David Nash.

Since 2010, D&G Group has raised over £25 million ($30.3 million) for charitable causes through corporate events, unique experiences, and setting up foundations on behalf of clients, including online clothing vendor ASOS, online retailer Argos, logistics company Bidfood, health food store Holland & Barrett, supermarket Iceland, online payment firm PayPal, and luxury car maker Rolls Royce.

Pitch International said its investment into the company would help “supercharge D&G Group’s growth through expansion of its hospitality offering and the company’s global footprint.”

The agency's executive chairman Oli Slipper and founding partner Jon Owen are now directors of D&G Group.

Nash said: “I’m incredibly proud of everything that we have achieved so far with D&G and I can’t thank our clients, partners, and teams enough for being part of that journey.

“The investment from Pitch International marks an exciting next step for the company and will allow us to fast-track our plans to create bigger and better hospitality offers, charitable platforms, and industry-leading programs in the UK and abroad.”

The investment adds to Pitch International’s services, which include representation of global media rights for several sports properties including the cricket governing bodies of Ireland, England and Wales, New Zealand, West Indies, the Netherlands, and Scotland.

It also sells international media rights to Six Nations Rugby, the prestigious international rugby union tournament, and Premiership Rugby, English rugby union’s top-tier league, as well as the English Football League and the top-tier Women’s Super League, among others.

Slipper said: “We’ve admired the D&G Group business for many years, having worked closely with them on hospitality and fundraising events including the recent successful Ukraine fundraising event Sport4Peace.

“This investment will not only allow D&G to expand its offer more quickly providing even more for its current and new clients, but also adds another important service for Pitch International’s clients to take advantage of.”
