Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Management Occupations, which accounted for 15% of the total new job postings in Q4 2023 and were up by 30% year-on-year. Second highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which accounted for 10% and rise by 56% year-on-year, and third highest were Sales and Related Occupations, which were 15% of the new job postings and 83% higher year-on-year.

The highest number of jobs were posted by Woolworths Group with 14,078, followed by Coles Group with 5,027, while the highest increase was at Ashurst at 117%.
