Sports technology heavyweight Sportradar has unveiled a wide-ranging rights deal covering the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup (CWC) men's soccer tournament.
Through an agreement unveiled today, struck with CWC global media rights-holder DAZN, Sportradar now becomes the exclusive distributor of ultra-low-latency betting data for the tournament, as well as a non-exclusive distributor of media content.
This last-minute tie-up will see Sportradar deliver data (including live odds) from all 63 CWC games to its global network of sportsbook and media clients during the tournament, which is being held across the US between June 14 and July 13.
In addition, the Switzerland-based firm will gain access "to deep tracking data" from the CWC, to offer an extensive range of betting markets – it has claimed up to 190 pre-match markets and 200 in-play betting markets will be on offer. Live match trackers will also be powered by Sportradar.
From an integrity and anti-corruption standpoint, meanwhile, Sportradar is set to act as the tournament's integrity partner through an existing (and long-standing) partnership with soccer's governing body FIFA. This bet monitoring will take place through the Sportradar Universal Fraud Detection System, which aims to provide surveillance of the betting markets in real-time.
Over the last few weeks and months, DAZN – which formalized its CWC rights deal late last year – has been frantically working to strike a range of media rights sub-licensing deals worldwide, in markets where it does not have a substantial presence.

By GlobalDataFIFA, meanwhile, has been working to bring as many commercial partners on board as possible, earlier this month doing so with Qatar Airways.
This year's Club World Cup is a revamped property, featuring 32 teams, up from below 10 in previous editions. From now on, instead of being held on an annual basis, it will take place once every four years.
Moritz Gloeckler, Sportradar's executive vice president of rights and strategic projects, has said: "We are thrilled to partner with DAZN to elevate the Club World Cup to new heights, expanding global reach, captivating new audiences, and deepening engagement with fans worldwide. At the same time, we remain committed to upholding the integrity of this prestigious competition."
In terms of recent Sportradar activity, the firm unveiled a part of its partnership with the European League of Football (ELF) competition in late May, for that American football property's 2025 campaign.
Sportradar will support the ELF’s existing partnership with sports data firm Stats Perform to leverage the latter’s live data for commercializing in data feeds for betting and gaming.
May also saw Sportradar announce significant year-on-year (YoY) increases in both revenue and profit for the first financial quarter (Q1) of 2025.
