Sportradar, the global data and digital content service provider, has bolstered its presence in Brazil by adding basketball’s Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB) governing body to its growing list of major sport clients in the country.

The multi-year partnership sees Sportradar secure global betting data and audiovisual rights to all LNB-organized competitions, including the top-tier men’s NBB Caixa league, men’s second-tier Liga Ouro, the Copa Super Eight domestic cup competition, U-20’s Development League, Interligas, and the Interligas Development League.

As part of the agreement, LNB will utilize Sportradar’s portfolio, including Synergy Stats for data collection and analytics and Synergy Coaching, the AI-powered video analysis and scouting platform.

LNB will also integrate Sportradar’s Universal Fraud Detection System, as well as educational workshops for athletes, administrators, and referees to safeguard over 620 matches per season from match-fixing.

LNB president Rodrigo Montoro said: “We are very pleased with this partnership. Sportradar is a global benchmark in innovation, data, and integrity, and this agreement will certainly enhance the development of Brazilian basketball starting next season.

“It is a partnership that strongly positions us in both the national and international markets and will bring significant benefits to our sport over the next four years.”

The deal adds to Sportradar’s portfolio of sports clients in Brazil, with the company having already secured partnerships with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and the Brazilian Volleyball Confederation (CBV).

Sergio Floris, Sportradar’s managing director in Brazil, added: “We are delighted to partner with the LNB and support the next phase of growth for basketball in Brazil.

“Sportradar already has a strong presence in the country through partnerships in football and volleyball, and we have long looked forward to welcoming Brazil’s premier basketball league into our portfolio. Together, we aim to elevate the league through innovation, data, and integrity.”

In 2025, Sportradar spoke to Sportcal (GlobalData Sport) about the Brazilian market specifically and how the major shift towards sports betting growth will present moving forward amid a backdrop of growing regulatory scrutiny.

Sportradar’s managing director for Brazil, Sergio Floris, commented: “We believe that the growth and regulation of the sports betting industry, the global appeal of Brazilian football, and broader economic conditions point to continued long-term growth. Brazil is establishing a regulated market that offers a stable environment for operators, fostering investment.

“We are confident that the market will keep growing, attracting more participants, and that betting companies will either maintain or increase their sponsorship investments to stay competitive. The success of Brazilian clubs, particularly in continental competitions, enhances their global visibility, making them highly attractive to sponsors seeking a wide audience.”
