North America’s Major League Baseball has agreed a multi-platform content partnership with The Action Network, the sports betting specialist.
The multi-faceted tie-up, which takes effect later this month, will see the network provide sports betting information and content to MLB’s platforms, including digital and broadcast channels.
Under the partnership, MLB will feature The Action Network talent and content via Bettor’s Eye, its sports betting show, and in MLB Network’s daily studio programming.
In addition, The Action Network will deliver a weekly live MLB-focused sports betting discussion and analysis show, Payoff Pitch, exclusive to MLB.
The network’s other partners include golf’s PGA Tour and basketball’s NBA.
Kenny Gersh, executive vice president of business development at MLB, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Action Network to help bring their unparalleled sports betting news and content to our MLB channels. Action’s best-in-class talent, insights, and information fit perfectly with MLB Network and MLB.com’s award-winning baseball coverage, and will help us continue to provide the best news and content experiences to our fans.”
Ari Borod, operating chief at The Action Network, added: “Major League Baseball has demonstrated incredible innovation with their commitment to engage fans within the rapidly evolving sports betting category. We are excited to partner with them, as we continue to iterate and expand on our product and content offerings for baseball fans and bettors across the globe.”
