Kalshi, the prominent prediction market operator, has followed up its NBA partnership with its first team deal in the top basketball league with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Through a multi-year tie-up, the company has been named the official prediction market partner of the team.

The 76ers and Kalshi will collaborate to create new content, experiences, and integrations for fans. Kalshi will serve as the presenting partner of 'Sixers Posters', a digital art series.
Kalshi will receive in-arena visibility, social content such as ‘Top Plays of the Month’ fan voting, and integrations across the 76ers app, mobile ticketing, and team-owned digital platforms.
The firm will also present 'Beat the Pro', a season-long fan engagement platform culminating in an on-court experience where selected fans can compete against a 76ers legend or personality.
Kalshi and rival Polymarket announced a league-wide prediction market partnership with the NBA last week, with the league becoming the latest major US sports property to wade into the ongoing trend.
Owen Morin, Philadelphia 76ers chief revenue officer of partnerships, said: “With Kalshi’s new league-wide relationship with the NBA, we saw an opportunity to build a first-of-its-kind team partnership focused on delivering new content, creativity, and engagement for 76ers fans.”
In their deals with the NBA, Kalshi and Polymarket will be able to leverage NBA data, statistics, and, perhaps crucially, NBA intellectual property (including logos and imagery) in their operations as the league’s ‘preferred prediction-market exchanges’.
In return, the league will be able to govern what NBA-related markets the pair can and cannot offer, as well as prohibit trading on NBA events by all league and team personnel, with the NBA also to collaborate with Kalshi and Polymarket for information sharing around any investigations regarding illicit and suspicious trading.
To facilitate the agreement, the NBA has struck a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the regulatory body that oversees the prediction market industry, to ensure proper oversight of the prediction market business.
The NBA has followed the lead of the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, UFC, and Major League Baseball, all of which struck agreements with Polymarket and/or Kalshi in the past year.
The NBA is, perhaps, the most prominent among all these sports properties, and second in the US only to the NFL in terms of reach.
The NFL remains the last major men’s sports property in the US without a Polymarket or Kalshi partnership, and that may remain the case for the foreseeable future, according to comments NFL commissioner Roger Goodell made last month.
In a September interview, Goodell said that the NFL would not partner with either until there are stronger federal guardrails.
