The IAAF Golden League is heading towards next weekend’s much anticipated double-header, a dramatic finale which will see many of the sport’s elite compete in the Memorial Van Damme meeting in Brussels, Belgium on Friday (14 Sep) and then fly to the DKB-ISTAF Berlin meeting in Berlin, Germany on Sunday (16 Sep) for the conclusion of the 2007 series.

Following the fourth meeting of the summer which took place in Zürich, last Friday, just two athletes – Sanya Richards (USA) in the women’s 400m and Yelena Isinbayeva (RUS) in the women’s Pole Vault, remain in the hunt for the US$ One Million IAAF Golden League Jackpot as the only athletes to have taken victories at all four meetings of 2007 – Oslo, Norway (15 Jun), Paris, France (6 Jul), Rome, Italy (13 Jul), Zürich, Switzerland (7 Sep).

If either Richards or Isinbayeva (RUS) continue their winning streak in Brussels and Berlin then they will win at least a share of the $1 Million Jackpot.
