UEFA has today launched the start of the general public sales for 6,000 tickets for the UEFA Cup final 2005/06.

These 6,000 tickets will be available for purchase by the neutral football fan only wishing to attend the UEFA Cup final match, which takes place at the ‘PSV Stadion’ in Eindhoven on Wednesday 10 May.

Interested fans can apply for tickets via http://www.uefa.com/ exclusively, from Monday 20 February starting at 12:00 hrs (CET) until Monday 20 March at 12:00 hrs (CET).

Tickets available to general public are category 4 for 35 euros, category 2 for 80 euros and category 1 for 115 euros. In addition there will be an administrative fee of 5% and the payment can be made by credit card only.

The capacity for the Eindhoven final has been fixed at 31,300. Over half of the capacity is reserved for the supporters of the two finalists, who can take up to 9,250 tickets each, and these fans will be able to apply for tickets directly through their clubs. The remaining 6,800 tickets have been allocated to the European ‘football family’, comprising UEFA, the local organising committee and national associations as well as commercial and broadcasting partners.

The sales will be restricted to a maximum of two tickets per person and the applicants must accept the ticketing terms and conditions. Incorrect or incomplete applications will be rejected along with multiple entries. All valid applications received during the 28-day period will go into a ballot if demand exceeds supply. The successful candidates will be notified until 31 March and the tickets will be dispatched end of April by secure mailing. The online applications will be checked against police data, the tickets personalised and checks at the stadium are planned. UEFA underlines that no tickets are being distributed via agencies or brokers.
