Allianz, the German financial services company, has been officially named as the title partner of the 2023 Para Swimming World Championships in Manchester, UK, taking place from July 31 to August 6 at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.

The eleventh edition of the World Championships marks the second time Allianz is the event’s title sponsor, after the 2019 edition in London.

Craig Nicholson, head of World Para Swimming, said: “We are thrilled to have Allianz returning as the title partner of the World Championships. Allianz has a long history of support for Para swimming and has also previously been the title sponsor of the European Championships in Dublin in 2018.

“This is the biggest event in the sport before the Paralympic Games in Paris [next year] and we cannot wait to see the world’s best in action at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.”

Carolyn Rich, head of brand marketing and social responsibility at Allianz Commercial, added: “We’re excited to be back as a partner of the Para Swimming World Championships this year. Allianz has been supporting the Paralympic Movement since 2006, getting behind the athlete community.

“We look forward to seeing great competitions, emotional moments, and some qualifications for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.”
