On October 2-4, 2017, the Smart Cities & Sport Summit, held in Montréal, Canada, will be the place to be for any city wishing to discuss strategies to engage more effectively with the sports world and meet with International Sport Federations.
A few weeks ago, we announced the presence of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) and the International University Sports Federation (FISU) on a special panel composed of IF representatives who will discuss the criteria they use to award their events to host cities. We are happy to announce today two more organisations have confirmed their attendance:

• The International Cycling Union (UCI), which will be represented by their Business Development Manager, Jérôme Lacroix.

• RFRSH Entertainment, a privately owned and operated esports media company that develops strategies for cities looking to succeed in the wildly growing and challenging esports market.
With these four organisations representing a wide variety of popular sports, this session promises to be very insightful and fascinating for all those attending.
As we also announced recently, the Marketplace will be back this year, with many international sport federations, event rights holders, suppliers and service providers in attendance. On top of FISU, FEI, UCI and RFRSH Entertainment, we can also confirm the participation of World Taekwondo, the International Canoe Federation (ICF), the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) and United World Wrestling.
With more IFs expected to confirm their presence shortly, the Smart Cities & Sport Summit in Montréal promises to be the place where sport and cities can meet! Make sure not to miss this unique opportunity to make new connections and discuss your city’s ambitions and issues with regards to hosting international sport events.
