Austrian free-to-air channel Servus TV has acquired rights to the upcoming 2021 season of Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, the Germany-based touring car series, in the two countries.

The broadcaster will provide live streaming coverage of every race on its website and app, beginning with the season opening double-header in Monza, Italy next weekend.

Across the eight race weekends, there will be three rounds in Germany, at the Lausitzring, Nürburgring and Hockenheim circuits.

The Norisring circuit was also scheduled to stage the final round of the season in Germany but had to be postponed, with an alternative date still yet to be set.

For Austrian fans, there will be a round in the country at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg from 3 to 5 September.

Other races will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.

The DTM is promoted and organised by ITR.

David Morgenbesser, Servus TV’s head of sports rights and distribution, said: “The DTM is a cult, especially in German-speaking countries. It shouldn't be missing on our sports platform. I am very happy about the expansion of the partnership with ITR and that we can show the motorsport fans all the races in the series live. "

Oliver Simon, DTM director of TV and streaming, added: “Servus TV has been a partner with whom we have worked very closely for several years. We are all the more pleased that this partnership is now being expanded to include live reporting.

“Every race weekend, ITR produces over 15 hours of live programming that can be received on five continents and in over 60 countries. With Servus TV, the DTM has now also found a motorsport home in Austria."

The addition of the DTM further bolsters Servus TV’s motorsports portfolio which already includes Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, MotoGP, World Superbike and the Porsche Supercup.
