The Sheffield Steelers last night received the great news that Dennis Vial is to receive his Italian passport within the next 48 hours. This means that Big Bad Dennis will be able to fly into Sheffield on Friday morning and thus make him self available for Saturdays home game with Cardiff Devils (face off 7.00pm). Dennis Vial stands 6’1 and weighs 210lb. His NHL career last more than 250 games in which time he amassed over 750 penalty minutes and was regarded as one of the leading NHL heavyweights. Last year Vial played for the Chicago Wolves amassing 250 minutes in just over 50 games. Steelers team Manager David Simms said “The news regarding Dennis last night was fantastic, we have been working on bringing Dennis to the Steelers for a long time and now we see light at the end of the tunnel. I won’t believe we have him until I see him standing on the blue line waiting for the National Anthem to be played. “He will add huge toughness and respectability for us, as well as that the 250 NHL games mean he is a quality defenseman who will take no prisoners.” For further information about this press release, please do not hesitate to contact the Steelers Office on 0114 2490088.
