Using Dorna Sports’ licences for the development of MotoGP interactive games in digital plataforms, THQ have reached agreements with Sprint and Motorola for the inclusion of MotoGP games in some of these companies’ new wireless devices.

The agreement with giants Motorola means the development of games for the current and next generation of mobile phones. JavaTM 2 Platform Micro Edition technology (J2METM) will be used, and the MotoGP game will be one of four available initially in North America for Motorola’s handsets.

Early this year Motorola announced the first five J2METM technology-enabled mobile phones in North America as well as its first in Europe and Asia.

The agreement between THQ and Sprint, the company which operates the largest all-digital, all-PCS wireless network in the USA, will lead to the development of a few popular games including MotoGP for both Sprint PCS Wireless Web and Third Generation (3G) Sprint PCS phones.
