Laurent-Eric Le Lay, president of the pan-European TV channel Eurosport, will hold a speech at the 4th SPONSORs Sports Media Summit. He will give exclusive insights into the future strategy of the sports channel.

The new consent of an international Top-Speaker after the recent consent of the Chilean football president Harold Mayne-Nicholls for the „FA-Marketing-Summit“ shows the increasing international significance of the SPONSORs Sports Media Summit.

One week before the self-convened press conference in Paris for the 20th anniversary of Eurosport, Le Lay will provide exclusive information on future channel strategies in Frankfurt at the Sports Media Summit. The Frenchman will lay special focus on the newly founded betting-platform, the rising significance of HD coverage and the increasing interactivity of the TV program.

New channel-owned betting-platform
Background information of the new betting-platform will certainly be of main interest in Frankfurt. The sports channel, which belongs to the French TV provider TF 1, has created a Joint Venture with capital investment company Serendipity Investment called SPS Betting. The aim of SPS Betting is to initiate an online betting-platform that will permit to bet on the outcome of sports events during live coverage.

About the 4th Sports Media Summit
The 4th SPONSORs Sports Media Summit, on the 19th and 20th of May 2009 at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, is configured for decision-makers from following areas: (new) media, marketing, agencies, clubs, associations, advertising companies and legal affairs.

The two-day summit is the leading congress in the German-speaking area and has become more and more international over the years; hence speeches will be translated simultaneously in English and German.
