Fast Web Media, the UK based operating company, wholly owned by Total Sports Online ASA, has teamed up with Sport-e.com, one of the UK’s leading online sports retailers, part of the Littlewoods Home Shopping Group. Sport-e will provide a new online retail experience for consumers via 4thegame.com one of the world’s oldest and largest sports web sites.
The agreement will see Sport-e.com become the exclusive online partner of 4thegame.com for sports footwear, clothing and equipment. In addition to sporting goods other selected products relevant to the website’s user base will be introduced to the site. Fast Web Media’s flagship site, www.4thegame.com will become a fully-fledged retail site offering users football news and information and the opportunity to purchase a wide variety of goods at competitive prices.
To help users choose what they want from the vast array of goods on offer, 4thegame will introduce a ‘Tried and Tested’ area where opinions will be given on goods available to buy on the site. In addition a ‘Top Ten Best Buys’ list will also be available to view every week.
Michael Flynn, CEO of Fast Web Media said: ‘This deal represents a major strategic step for 4thegame. We are very pleased to announce a partnership with one of the UK’s leading online retail operations. Our alliance will provide users with a one-stop shop for goods and information relating to football. We still believe content is a priority and 4thegame will maintain its high standard in providing users with news and information. By adding a large retail element we are giving users an instant ability to purchase whilst searching for news on their favourite team and players. This synergy will flourish under the newly designed 4thegame website, due to go live mid-November.’
Mark Taylor Director of Sport-e.com said: ‘We welcome this new partnership with Fast Web Media and are extremely pleased to become the exclusive online retail partner of such a popular site such as 4thegame.com. We hope this joint venture will provide users with an added and relevant resource. Users can enjoy exclusive offers not found in the high street stores and we hope that we can reach a wider audience through 4thegame.’
The new look 4thegame site will launch in November, accompanying the exciting new retail offer will be a number of new content areas to be announced shortly.
