Lausanne – With five months to go before the end of the 2nd millenium, the FIVB today officially launched a world-wide ballot to select Volleyball’s greatest stars of the 20th Century.

More than 1200 Journalists, 218 National Associations, TV Networks and World wide sponsors will be asked to cast ballots by fax with their choices in three categories:

The 20th Century’s Best Coach (Men and Women)
Best Team (Men and Women)
Best Player (Men and Women)

A special Jury will deliver the final verdict on November 30.

The first selection of candidates was decided at last month’s FIVB Congress in Seville, Spain.
