FL Interactive (FLi), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Football League, has appointed specialist digital sports agency, Aura Sports as its Official third party sales partner. FLi is the digital rights holder for seventy-seven English and Welsh Football Clubs, including six from the FA Premier League, sixty-seven from The Football League and four from the Conference.
FLi was created to manage and develop the internet and mobile rights of its participating clubs, and is the UK’s largest digital football rights holder. The FLi network is also the largest football information service in the UK with almost 3m individuals accessing the network on a monthly basis.
“Collectively there are more football fans interacting with FLi websites than any other online football rights holder and we are delighted to announce the appointment of Aura Sports to this vital role in the ongoing development of FLi,” said Kieron Kilbride, General Manager of FLi.
“This move, which brings the majority of the English professional football under the same digital banner, will allow us to marry up FLi’s unrivalled scale with Aura Sports market leading expertise in delivering new revenues to football websites.
Aura has an outstanding track record within football and their innovative approach and commitment to the individual club brands has impressed everyone at FLi.”
Paul Wright MD of Aura Sports adds;
“When we launched Aura Sports two and a half years ago, one of our core visions was to be able to represent a big enough number of clubs to create a critical mass, that would provide a real genuine ‘must-have’ proposition for the advertising industry. Whilst we have been in a strong and compelling position for quite some time now, this agreement takes the Aura Sports network to an entirely different level.”
