Henman Hill, once the exclusive viewing ground of those lucky enough to have tickets to the Wimbledon Championships, is coming to Central London. The Robinsons Henman Hill, in association with the LTA, will be created at THE SPORTSHOW, this summers’ ultimate interactive sporting experience, to be held at Earls Court between the 24th and 27th June.
It will be the centre piece of the Tennis Zone at the show which has been created to encourage visitors to ‘relax and play with LTA’. Visitors can either simply sit back and watch all the action from SW19 or take expert advice from the LTA coaches on hand to demonstrate great technique on the specially designed ‘hitting wall’ being built at the show. This concept forms part of the LTA’s and Robinsons ‘Play Anywhere’ campaign designed to encourage the development of the next generation of British tennis stars.
Consumers will be spoilt for choice during the forthcoming ‘Summer of Sport’ and
THE SPORTSHOW has signed another major sponsor who is looking to capitalise on Euro 2004 fever. Carlsberg, the official beer to Euro 2004, have signed up as sponsors of the show’s 1200 seater stadium which will be showing live footage from the Euro 2004 Quarter Finals. The Carlsberg Stadium will also play host to the ‘Full English Rugby Breakfast’ which will see a capacity crowd for the rugby re-match of the year, England v Australia. The event will be hosted by a string of rugby internationals and The Webb Ellis Trophy will be on site as a reminder of the last time these two great rugby nations met.
Robinsons and Carlsberg join an amazing line up of SPORTSHOW sponsors which already includes HSBC who are creating a state-of-the-art Golf Zone, Swatch who are bringing their Olympic Experience Interactive Pods to the show and Nissan who are sponsoring the Adventure and Extreme Sports Zone. Other sponsors include The Sports Café who is building a replica restaurant in Earls Court, Sport England who continue to invest in grass roots development and Eurosport. The show is in association with The Daily Telegraph.
L4K Events, the team behind the show, have been forced to create additional exhibition space to cope with the rush of demand they are experiencing in the final few weeks in the run up the to the opening on June 24th.
