ISL Worldwide, an ISMM Group company, has announced today that Fuji Xerox has agreed to become an Official Partner of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan. Fuji Xerox will participate in making the event a success by assisting both the international media and the Organising Committees (KOWOC and JAWOC) through the provision of products for document creation and publishing, such as printers, copying machines and faxes.

Fuji Xerox commented: ‘We will aggressively promote our activities in our business territories to support the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan and to enhance Fuji Xerox Group’s brand image. In Japan itself, Fuji Xerox will launch ads for their colour printer lines featuring Fuji Xerox’s key attribute ‘Speed to the next’ alongside three candidate players for Japan’s national squad.

The sponsorship agreement has been signed between Fuji Xerox and ISL Worldwide, one of the world’s leading sports media and marketing companies. ISL Worldwide is responsible for composing and coordinating the group of prominent multinational corporations who lend their financial and logistical support to the FIFA World Cup, above all, but also to other events and projects in the FIFA calendar.

Besides Fuji Xerox, ten other companies have already become Official Partners of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™. The now eleven Official Partners are adidas, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, Fujifilm, Fuji Xerox, Gillette, Hyundai, JVC, Korea Telecom, MasterCard and McDonald’s.

Setting the pinnacle in soccer, the world’s most popular sport, FIFA World Cup has brought memorable and exciting dramas to audiences around the globe for more than 70 years since the first event in 1930 in Uruguay. The 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan has attracted the attention of fans worldwide as an unprecedented event in the FIFA World Cup history. It will be the first event in the 21 st century, first in Asia and the first co-hosted by two countries, Korea and Japan.
