Milan, November 25, 2004 – The Milan Channel, the official televsion channel dedicated to A.C. Milan, has reached a landmark 50,000 subscribers.
Mr Angelo Cattaneo di Desio had the honour of becoming the 50,000th subscriber to sign up to the service.
The Milan Channel was launched on December 16, 1999 to celebrate the one hundred anniversary of the Rossoneri club and since then has led the market in the number of new subscribers and delivered greater brand awareness compared to any other football club-themed channel in Italy.
Digitrack research carried out by the CIRM Institute revealed that around 280,000 viewers a week tune in to the Milan Channel (projected data).
According to the research results, the viewer profile breaks down to 69.5% males and 30.5% females.
Interestingly, the age profile ranges between young adults aged 14 to 34 who typically live in southern regions and in the north west of Italy. Overall, 82.10% of the viewers are under the age of 44 and possess a high school diploma.
A.C. Milan’s dedicated television service, the Milan Channel, can be viewed on the Sky platform on channel 230 in Italy. Sky offer the Milan Channel on a yearly package of € 8.00 a month.
