Leaders in Football, the world’s most exclusive football business event, taking place for the third time at Chelsea FC on 6th and 7th October 2010, is pleased to announce that St Louis Blues (NHL) and Real Salt Lake (MLS) Owner, Dave Checketts will be addressing the Leaders audience.

A member of the ‘Owner’s Panel’ that will be gathering on Day 2, Checketts will be bringing his extensive knowledge of US sport to Leaders in Football to give a different perspective on the pros and cons of various ownership models.

Checketts has a distinguished career in American Sports. At the age of 28 he became the CEO and General Manager of the Utah Jazz, making him the youngest CEO in NBA history. He has also held positions as the GM of NBA International, the President of the New York Knicks and the President and CEO of the Madison Square Garden. In 2001 Checketts founded Sports Capital Partners Worldwide, a consulting and investment service firm for sports teams. Sports Capital Partners now owns the Utah based MLS franchise Real Salt Lake as well as the NHL franchise the St Louis Blues.
