The ongoing success of the Motor Sport Business Forum has led to further expansion worldwide with new events set for Asia and the Middle East. As well as the regular Forum event in Monaco in December, the motor sport conference and exhibition will take place in Asia in 2008 and the Middle East in 2009.

The expansion is the result of increasing demand, particularly from motor sport’s major new markets. With a new Formula One Grand Prix scheduled for Singapore in 2008 and Abu Dhabi in 2009, the global business interest in the sport has stepped up another gear.

Event Director Simon Berger said: “What we’ve found since launching the Forum in 2005 is that the motor sport business industry is too big to limit to one show in one continent. Our events in Asia and the Middle East will focus on the many successful ventures and exciting opportunities in those areas.”

The new events will give regional sponsors and executives an opportunity to listen to new ideas, discuss sponsorship initiatives with both international and regional sponsors, and to network with industry professionals from all over the world.

They will also build on the success of the Monaco Forum, which is already entrenched on the motor sport industry calendar. So much so that Formula One Team Principals, Global Marketing Directors and Race Circuit bosses are lining up to speak at this year’s Forum.

The 2007 conference programme is set to be the most high-profile yet. Confirmed speakers include:

Mario Theissen   Motor Sport Director, BMW
Alain Dassas  F1 Team President, Renault
David Richards   CEO, Prodrive
Nick Fry    CEO, Honda Racing F1
Christian Horner  Sporting Director, Red Bull Racing
Colin Kolles    Managing Director, SpykerF1
Scott Garrett  Head of Marketing, WilliamsF1
Stuart Dyble  Head of Sport, 19 Management
Isabelle M. Conner F1 Programme Director, ING
Mokhzani Mahathir Chairman, Sepang International Circuit

They will be joined by special keynote speaker Sir Jackie Stewart. The full conference programme for this event will be released shortly and is expected to include even more high profile speakers from the motor sport business industry.

The exhibition area has expanded but space is already at a premium. Almost 70 per cent of the available space has been booked or reserved and all of last year’s exhibitors have confirmed their intention to return. Register now to avoid disappointment.

About the Motor Sport Business Forum

The Motor Sport Business Forum is the must-attend event for motor sport’s global commercial community. It offers a unique opportunity to listen to new ideas, discuss sponsorship initiatives, debate current issues, network with industry professionals, and negotiate deals.

The two-day Forum incorporates a full conference schedule focussing on the business of Formula One and other global motor sport. The wide-ranging programme covers every area of commercial activity in the sport from Sponsorship acquisition and exploitation to event planning and hospitality.

The major industry figures are not just present at the Forum – they play an active role. FIA President Max Mosley, Toyota Motorsport president John Howett, Honda Racing F1 CEO Nick Fry, and Prodrive Chief Executive David Richards, are just a few of the leading names in motor sport who spoke at the 2006 Forum.

The event also offers a world-class exhibition area featuring displays and stands from the biggest companies in the sector. Every major race series has a presence, from Formula One and the World Rally Championship to GP2 and World Touring Car. In between the array of F1, Rally and sports cars on display can be found a multitude of exhibitors representing race circuits, championship organisers, yacht brokers, technology companies and hospitality agencies, to name a few.

The next event takes place on 5-6 December 2007 at the Grimaldi Conference and Exhibition Centre in Monaco.
