Hong Kong-based financial institution Hang Seng Bank has signed up as a presenting partner for table tennis' 2026 WTT Finals Hong Kong.

The deal, struck between the bank and World Table Tennis (WTT), the commercial arm of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), covers the 2026 Finals, taking place at the territory's Kai Tek Arena between December 9 and 13.

The finals will incorporate 16 men's and women's singles players and eight mixed doubles teams.

Hang Seng Bank will engage in a citywide campaign involving interactive games, customer offers, and chances to meet players, WTT has said.

In addition, free tickets will be allocated to "low-income families and elderly people" in the territory.

Credit card holders at Hang Seng Bank – which has sponsored Hong Kong table tennis for well over three decades – will be able to buy tickets during a priority access window as well, in late October.

Jonny Cowan, partnerships director at WTT, commented: "Hang Seng Bank has been a long-term partner of the Hong Kong China Table Tennis Association, and it is a pleasure to collaborate with our association colleagues and the Hang Seng Bank team to connect WTT Finals with Hong Kong communities.”

In mid-September, it was announced that the 2026 Finals will take place at Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Arena – the event was initially scheduled for the Hong Kong Coliseum, but has now been moved to accommodate the latter venue’s shift in approach to hosting more concerts.

Last month also saw the ITTF and WTT unveil a major partnership with the heavyweight agency Infront.

Switzerland-based Infront becomes the worldwide lead agency for WTT's commercial development.

The deal runs through 2034 and covers full marketing rights for the entire range of WTT events, including WTT Finals, Grand Smashes, WTT Champions, WTT Star Contender, and WTT Contender tournaments.

World Table Tennis was established in 2019 to modernize the ITTF's commercial approach.
