Sportradar, the sports technology and data giant, has unveiled the sale of its Atrium Sports business – acquired in early 2021 – for $170 million.
That agreement, with the buyer now unveiled as Teamwork Innovations, was announced earlier this week and is expected to close during the final quarter of 2026 (subject to the usual conditions).

The sale, according to reports, is based around Sportradar re-aligning its priorities to focus more on its core products and technologies.
Atrium has specialised more in on-field analytical services for sports teams and leagues.
Casten Koerl, Sportradar's chief executive, commented: "This transaction optimises and streamlines our business as we focus on our core betting, gaming and media priorities, while enabling us to retain key technology assets and capabilities that will support growth and innovation.
“The proceeds will further strengthen our balance sheet and support capital allocation priorities."
He added that the firm would "work closely with Teamworks to ensure a seamless transition for our clients, partners, and employees."
Sportradar will also keep hold of a number of Atrium Sports assets that are integral to its technology and data products – including in the areas of automated video production, automated graphics solutions, computer vision capability, and competition management products.
The deal has been referred to by Sportradar as representing "an accretive double-digit EBITDA multiple relative to Sportradar’s market valuation."
Atrium Sports was actually bought by Sportradar under the name Synergy Sports, with that name taken in September 2020.
In terms of recent Sportradar activity, late September saw the company appointed as the betting integrity partner of both the International Padel Federation (FIP) governing body and the top-tier Premier Padel tour.
In late August, meanwhile, Sportradar and predictions market operator Polymarket announced the expansion of an existing tie-up.
