The World Rugby governing body has checked in to a partnership with the IHG Hotels & Resorts group, covering next year's men's Rugby World Cup (RWC).
Through a tie-up announced today, the global brand becomes the official hotel partner for the 2027 tournament, which will take place in Australia between October 1 and November 13 next year.

Through the deal, IHG will engage with fans across both stadiums and fan festivals in Australia, while the brand is also set to host watch parties at its venues in each of the seven host cities throughout the tournament.
World Cup-based experiences will also be made available to members of the IHG One Rewards scheme.
IHG is no stranger to high-level Australian rugby union sponsorships – last year, it was the official hotel partner for the Lions tour of Australia by the composite touring side, while it also has its own separate deal with Rugby Australia (renewed this July).
In addition, the chain is also a sponsor of the annual Six Nations Northern Hemisphere national teams tournament.
Other official partners of next year's event include Liqui Moly and Coca-Cola, while Emirates, Asahi, and Visa are all top-tier principal partners.
The Visa deal was announced last week and also covers the women's event in 2029 (to be held in Australia as well).
Aside from its rugby deals, IHG also has a tie-up with tennis' US Open grand slam event.
