Meanwhile, Super League Basketball (SLB), the top-flight competition in the UK, has renewed its broadcast deal with international sports streaming giant DAZN for the 2026-27 season.
Through the extension, the OTT platform will continue to show every game in the UK and around the world live and for free.
This includes all championship, cup, and play-off fixtures live and on demand.
DAZN has held SLB rights since 2024.
Vaughn Millette, Super League Basketball director, said: “Making every game accessible at no cost is a huge part of our commitment to growing the sport and connecting our clubs and players with as many supporters as possible.
“DAZN has provided an excellent platform for us and we’re looking forward to another season of bringing Super League Basketball to audiences across the globe.”
Shay Segev, CEO of DAZN Group, added: “We see a significant opportunity to help grow the reach and elevate the profile of top-tier UK basketball by adding the league’s premium content to our platform.
“This partnership is another important stepping stone as DAZN continues to bolster its global basketball rights portfolio.”
DAZN has been expanding its basketball offering, particularly in the US where it has agreed regional rights deals with more than half a dozen NBA franchises, including the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves.
The streamer is also the domestic home of Spain’s top-tier Liga ACB, shows FIBA national team competitions in Italy, and exclusively carries the international federation’s Courtside 1891 streaming service.
