The upcoming inaugural season of women's golf's WTGL property will be aired domestically in the US by a combination of ESPN/ABC, and the ION national network owned by Scripps Sports.

That competition, created in partnership by TMRW Sports (owners of the WTGL) and the LPGA heavyweight women's tour, announced multi-year media rights deals with ESPN and Scripps today.

These have been unveiled with the first-ever WTGL campaign set to get underway on November 8 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at the same venue – the SoFi Center – which hosts the men's TGL (which has been running since 2025).

WTGL matches, as well as shoulder programming, will be covered across all ESPN platforms – ABC, ESPN itself, and ESPN2. TGL is also covered domestically by ESPN.

ION, meanwhile, is available free over the air to every television in the US, and also covers other top-tier women's sports properties such as basketball's WNBA, the National Women's Soccer League, and the Professional Women's Hockey League.

WTGL, backed by TMRW and also by the Trybe Ventures venture capital firm, contains five teams: Atlanta Drive GC, Boston Common Golf, Los Angeles Golf Club, Motor City Golf Club, and New York Golf Club.

In WTGL, teams of players will hit shots at a five-storey-high simulator screen before moving to a green that can rotate 360 degrees, creating hole-to-hole variations.

Boston Common Golf came into existence earlier this month through a team acquisition by Fenway Sports Group.

FSG was also one of the original six ownership groups of TGL (also under the Boston Common Golf team name) and an early investor in TMRW Sports, which is headed by golf icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.

Indeed, the ownership groups of all five WTGL teams are helmed by existing TGL franchise investors.
