The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) promotion has struck a significant hosting rights deal with the state government of Western Australia.
Through a tie-up unveiled today, the Western Australian city of Perth will host 'WWE Weekend Takeovers', each featuring one premium live event, annually between 2026 and 2028.

The first of these will be titled Wrestlepalooza: Perth, and will take place on December 12 this year (WWE SmackDown will take place the day before, meanwhile).
WWE has already hosted several events in that city, including last year and in 2024, and the promotion has said that between them, they have contributed over A$58 million to the economy of Western Australia.
All three events will take place at Perth's RAC Arena.
Alongside these live events planned through 2028, WWE is also set to bring in "a range of fan experiences" to the city – these will include WWE Superstores, WWE meet-and-greet events with stars, and community activities.
In May, WWE's owner, TKO Group, struck a seven-event, three-year deal with the Arizona Sports & Event Alliance.
Through that agreement, WWE's flagship Royal Rumble event will be held at the State Farm Stadium in Arizona in February next year.
