The Curling Group, the parent company behind the Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League properties (which launched earlier this year), has struck significant, five-year broadcast rights extensions in Canada.
Tie-ups covering those two properties have been struck with national public-service broadcaster CBC and Rogers-owned Sportsnet.

Through the deals, Sportsnet will return as the main home of the Grand Slam of Curling series through each of the five events scheduled in the 2026 season, while both the Sportsnet+ streaming service and CBC will provide coverage of the Saturday playoffs from the competition (before Sportsnet shows the event finals on Sundays).
The curling-specific Rock Channel, meanwhile, will continue to live-stream "morning round-robin games and tiebreakers" between Tuesday and Saturday of each event.
The 2026 Grand Slam of Curling campaign takes in tournaments across Canada, running between October 13 and December 20.
The GSOC was formerly run by Sportsnet before The Curling Group bought the property in April of 2024.
As for Rock League's second season, starting early next year, every game will be available via CBC TV and CBC Gem (the network's free digital platform), with specific games also set to air on Sportsnet (across Thursdays and Fridays), and through the Radio-Canada streaming platform.
Rock League's 2027 season will take place between January and April, with events running between Thursday and Sunday.
Nic Sulsky, The Curling Group's chief executive and co-founder, commented: "This is a defining moment for the sport. Sportsnet and CBC Sports see the opportunity to build on curling’s incredible heritage and momentum, helping introduce it to new audiences. Together, we're delivering the most expansive linear television coverage in our history."
The inaugural 2026 season of Rock League has been covered live in the US by ESPN, through a deal unveiled in mid-April.
For the Grand Slam of Curling, meanwhile, the Iris Sport Media agency holds broadcast distribution rights.
