The San Francisco 49ers NFL franchise has struck a new multi-year extension to its commercial tie-up with US Bank, expanding its long-running sponsorship deal with the prominent banking firm.
A commercial partner of the 49ers since 2014, this new agreement will see US Bank will remain the official bank partner of the NFL franchise for the next two years at minimum, retaining branding presence at the team’s 68,500-capacity Levi’s Stadium home.

In expanding the agreement, US Bank becomes the presenting sponsor of the Levi’s Stadium East Field Club hospitality offering.
Furthermore, 49ers players will now wear a US Bank patch on all practice uniforms for the duration of the deal.
This all comes in addition to other co-branded sponsorship elements such as US Bank offering customers a 49ers-branded debit card.
To capitalize on the partnership, US Bank will receive entitlement privileges for the the 49ers’ October 19 game against the Washington Commanders, a prime-time nationally broadcast Monday Night Football fixture.
Across the coming season, high-profile 49ers players such as star running-back Christian McCaffrey and tight-end George Kittle will feature in US Bank brand campaigns and community education programs.
US Bank has also committed to supporting the 49ers’ girls flag football initiatives in the San Francisco area and beyond, including the California state-wide 2026 49ers FLAG High School Girls Showcase.
Flag football is a key cornerstone of the team’s domestic and international growth strategy.
US Bank will also continue to sponsor the 49ers PREP community lifestyle initiative, and the 49ers Cal-Hi Sports high school sports show program.
The 49ers already leverage US Bank financial services across its operations. In fact, US Bank supported the financing agreement for Levi’s Stadium itself, which was completed in 2014.
Kevin Hilton, the 49ers vice-president for corporate partnerships added: “Over the years, U.S. Bank has helped us create meaningful programs from supporting youth sports to enhancing the fan experience at Levi's Stadium. We look forward to building on that momentum and benefitting fans year-round."
The 49ers are one of the most commercially prominent NFL franchises, having reached the post-season playoffs in five of the last seven seasons, including two Super Bowl trips in that time frame.
Besides the 49ers, US Bank is also the banking partner of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings franchise.
Most importantly, perhaps, in April 2026, the firm became the official bank and wealth management partner of the NFL at large, filling a void left by Visa, whose sponsorship rights expired in March.
That tie-up also includes US Bank becoming the presenting sponsor of the Super Bowl MVP Award, starting with this season’s edition of the showpiece, and a top-tier sponsor of the NFL Flag Championships.
Since the expiry of the VISA deal, the NFL carved up its financial services sponsorships from one category into three.
Alongside US Bank, the NFL added credit card company American Express as its official payments partner from the 2026 season, and payments platform PayPal as its peer-to-peer payments partner that same month.
