The Professional Fighters League (PFL) mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion has brought in major sports network ESPN as its exclusive broadcast partner in Brazil.
Through the deal, ESPN will act as the exclusive PFL broadcast partner in Brazil, both through its linear channels and the Disney+ Premium streaming option.

The agreement encompasses every PFL event, including the PFL Global, MENA, and Africa leagues.
Up until this point – from the MMA property having held its inaugural season in 2018 – PFL action in Brazil had been primarily shown through a combination of the Globo and Combate networks. This, therefore, represents a significant acquisition for ESPN in that market.
It represents one of the first major combat sports deals done by Disney-owned ESPN Brasil.
In addition to the live content element, the tie-up spreads across archive and shoulder programming, such as pre- and post-fight shows, press conferences, weigh-ins, feature programming, highlights, and library content.
The partnership gets underway in time for PFL Austin this coming Saturday (July 18), with Brazil's Rafael do Nascimento set to feature in the co-main event.
John Martin, Professional Fighters League's chief executive, commented: "Brazil is and has always been one of the most influential and passionate MMA markets in the world, and ESPN is the ideal partner to help PFL deepen its connection with fans across the country."
