American football’s elite NFL has expanded its NFL Ticket HQ ticketing ecosystem, formerly known as NFL Ticket Network, announcing Tixr as its latest licensed sale channel.

The new deal increases the avenues through which NFL fans can secure official NFL gameday tickets, with Tixr gaining the right to work directly with NFL clubs to sell primary and secondary tickets on its platform.

Bobby Gallo, NFL senior vice president of club business development, said: “Tixr has built a strong reputation powering major entertainment and sports properties around the world, and their addition to NFL Ticket HQ strengthens the depth of our ticketing ecosystem.

“We are big believers in competition, and Tixr provides a compelling option for NFL clubs.”

Tixr joins the NFL’s three other licensed sales channels and will sit alongside the league’s official ticketing partner, Ticketmaster, SeatGeek, which boasts a number of other NFL partnerships, and Sports Illustrated Tickets.

Founded in 2013, Tixr works across sports, music festivals, venues, nightlife, travel, attractions, comedy, and fan conventions, boasting more than 700 partners globally across 60 countries.

In sports, its clients include teams and leagues across US soccer leagues, MLS and NWSL, stock car racing’s iconic Nascar, and motor racing’s IndyCar.

Most recently, the company added partnerships with MLS’s Houston Dynamo and San Jose Earthquakes ahead of the 2026 season, launching fully branded, Tixr-powered team apps.

Tixr chief executive Robert Davari said: “The NFL stands as one of the world's premier sports and media properties, and we're thrilled to bring a sophisticated, forward-thinking approach as a partner.

“Joining NFL Ticket HQ is an exciting step into the NFL ecosystem, and we look forward to growing within it.”

The NFL first teamed up with Ticketmaster in 2008 to create a website where fans could resell tickets for games.

Subsequently, the partnership between the pair has been renewed multiple times, most recently in 2022 in an extension running through the end of the 2025-26 season.

That latest extension helped the NFL evolve its “open” ticketing system, which allows fans to “find verified NFL tickets across multiple ticket marketplaces.”
