The latter agency has premises in both Rome and Milan, and brokers deals for players and managers both domestically and abroad. GG11 was founded in 2007.

High-profile GG11 contracted players include Tottenham Hotspur pair Guglielmo Vicario and Radu Draguson, AFC Bournemouth winger Hamed Traore, and young Fiorentina striker Albert Gudmundsson.

The talent roster attached to GG11 will join The Team's existing stable of soccer players, which includes the likes of Fede Valverde, IIya Zabarnyi, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, and Malo Gusto.

This partnership comes a couple of months after The Team rebranded as such from its original Wasserman name, amid the fallout of founder Casey Wasserman opting to sell the company after his name was mentioned in the US government's Epstein files.

Lee Charnley, vice president, international operations, for the global football group at The Team, stated: "Italy has long been a priority market for us, and this move enables us to expand our impact globally and within one of Europe’s top five leagues. It will benefit our clients and meaningfully shape the way we operate going forward.”

For The Team, this deal follows the acquisitions of People in Sport, International Football Management, and SportPlus.

Gabriele Giuffrida, founder of GG11, added: "This partnership is a pivotal moment, allowing us to expand our offering globally and open up new opportunities for our players and clubs. By joining The Team's global network, we can connect our clients to the very best opportunities across football’s major leagues.”

The Team, as Wasserman, has been in operation for more than 20 years and currently employs approximately 4,000 staff.

Over the past two decades, it has developed into one of the largest talent companies in the US through a series of acquisitions, most recently bolstering its presence in Europe by securing the soccer division of Danish talent representation firm People in Sport and acquiring Barcelona-based Umik Sport Management.
