Global basketball governing body FIBA has unveiled investment platform XTB as a new global partner.

The new agreement, which runs through December 2027, will encompass major FIBA tournaments such as this year’s Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin and the 2027 men’s edition in Doha.

The 16-team Women’s Basketball World Cup will be held from September 4 to 13.

The XTB investment app will also become the presenting sponsor of the European qualifiers for the 2027 World Cup, starting with the upcoming third window, from June 29 to July 7.

As a top-tier global partner of FIBA, XTB will use its flagship events to “strengthen fan engagement and promote accessible financial education through digital initiatives.”

In addition, the Poland-based company will create exclusive experiences for users, including behind‑the‑scenes access.

Frank Leenders, FIBA's director general of media and marketing services, said: “We are delighted to welcome XTB as a global partner. Their presence at these major FIBA events which unite fans from across the world will help to drive a strong connection with their global brand.”

XTB becomes FIBA’s ninth global partner, joining Ganten, Molten, Nike, TCL, Tissot, Smart, 1xBet, and Yili, which renewed its deal with the federation last year.

To date, the company's presence in international sports has been through partnerships with mixed martial arts leagues in Europe and brand ambassador relationships with athletes such as former Swedish soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic and several tennis players.
