The UK's BBC public-service broadcaster has struck a new agreement with global over-the-top streaming service DAZN, securing the live audio rights for three prominent upcoming boxing bouts staged by the streamer in collaboration with UK-based promotion Queensberry.

The BBC will air coverage of the bouts on its Radio 5 Live channel, and the BBC Sounds digital app.

This will start with the March 28 matchup between rising UK star Moses Itauma and US fighter Jermaine Franklin.

Following that will be the April 4 bout between veteran UK fighter Derek Chisora and US former WBC World heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder.

The agreement will culminate in the May 9 all-UK affair between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois for the WBO World Heavyweight Championship.

Speaking on the deal, Richard Maddock, head of BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra commented: “Having three epic fight nights is really something to look forward to, and we will be there to bring the action direct to boxing fans across the UK. Listeners can expect world-class commentary and in-depth previews and analysis throughout the week on 5 Live, and BBC Sounds in the build-up.”

The three bouts will naturally be broadcast by DAZN, which has exclusive media rights arrangements with Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions, which represents Itauma, Chisora, Wardley, and Dubois.

Queensberry joined DAZN for the first time in April 2025 on a multi-year deal, finally uniting it on the same broadcaster as rival Matchroom after years of acrimony.

These three fights form the body of DAZN’s current Heavyweight Season Promotion, which will feature all three cards as well as the upcoming return of unified world heavyweight champion Oleksander Usyk against Dutch kickboxer Rico Verhoeven on May 23.
