English soccer heavyweights Manchester City have upgraded their relationship with international banking and payments firm Revolut, which now becomes a key commercial partner.
Through the deal, London-based Revolut becomes the club's back-of-shirt partner for both its men's and women's teams.

This builds on the initial tie-up between Revolut and City, which was announced last January (as an 18-month agreement) and specifically covers the Manchester club's highly successful women's side.
That initial tie-up was valued by GlobalData Sport at $380,000 in total. Now, this expansion and extension will see Revolut's logo take up a position on the back of the men's team's shirts for domestic cup matches, and on the women's shirts for both league and cup fixtures.
Aside from this, City and Revolut will also unite around a range of activations on matchdays for the women's and men's teams, starting with the launch of four co-branded virtual cards, which will be available from the Revolut mobile app, and to customers around Europe and the UK.
The Revolut Business arm will also be used within City's financial operations, including through utilizing the Revolut Pay checkout tool.

In terms of recent Man City commercial deals, last week the club announced a new sleeve sponsor for the men's team's training kits – electric vehicle firm BYD Group.
Elsewhere in the sporting world, Revolut became the inaugural title sponsor of new Formula 1 motor racing team Audi, which will make their debut in that iconic series this coming season, last July.
As the team’s main sponsor, Revolut will gain top-line branding presence over the entirety of the Audi F1 team, on the team’s car, race suit, across broadcast coverage, and of course in the team’s name itself.
The firm is also a sponsor of Italian Serie A soccer side Como.
