WSC Sport, the sports-focused video content provider, will continue to produce AI-powered video content for German pay-TV giant Sky Deutschland’s numerous sports offerings after renewing its partnership for another two years.
The renewal builds on the pair’s original agreement, struck in October 2023, and will see WSC Sport continue to utilize Sky’s sports coverage to produce short-form videos and real-time highlights, which will be distributed across the broadcaster’s social media accounts, streaming platforms, and consumer-facing web outlets.

Sky will also retain the right to access WSC Sports’ platform to create long-form video content, which will be broadcast across its linear TV channels.
As part of the renewal, Austria has been officially added to the deal, with the original agreement only covering Germany.
Aviv Arnon, co-founder and chief business development officer at WSC Sports, said: “Sky Sport is one of the most respected brands in European sports media, and their commitment to using technology to better serve fans is unmatched.
“This renewal and expansion are a testament to our shared vision for smarter, faster, and more engaging content.”

By GlobalDataThe partnership will see Sky Deutschland use the technology across its extensive portfolio of sports rights, including German soccer leagues Bundesliga, Bundesliga 2, and the DFB-Pokal cup competition, the Austrian Bundesliga, pan-European soccer’s UEFA club competitions, as well as motor sport’s Formula 1 and MotoGP, and ice hockey’s NHL.
It has also increased its golf coverage with exclusive rights to all four men’s majors and all five women’s majors, as well as the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour events, the women’s Solheim Cup teams tournament, the Ladies European Tour, the Ladies PGA Tour, and the tech-infused TGL.
Most recently, the broadcaster agreed deals with both the ATP and WTA, the men’s and women’s tennis tours, to exclusively air more than 80 events per year until 2028 across the UK, Ireland, Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Alessandro Reitano, senior vice president of sports production at Sky Deutschland, said: “WSC Sports gives us the scale and flexibility to deliver relevant, engaging content to fans across Germany and Austria.
“We’re excited to extend this partnership and explore the next chapter of content innovation.”
Meanwhile, having established itself among broadcasters, WSC acquired the Engines 365 fan engagement solution from Infront Lab, the technology arm of the sports and media agency, last year.
The acquisition has allowed WSC Sports to expand its tech offering with the Stream Engine OTT platform for streaming service management and the Content Engine social media content management system, allowing clients to ramp up their digital fan engagement activities.
In terms of new clients, last year saw WSC enter a new six-year partnership with the Swiss National League ice hockey competition, as well as Thai media giant Mono, and the new-look soccer venture Kings League.
