CommBank will maintain a branding presence across the tournament, including with the CommBank Mini Mate program, through which it will select over 500 children to feature as matchday mascots in various fixtures.
Speaking on the announcement, AFC chief executive Patrick Murphy commented: “The AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026 will be the most attended in the history of the tournament, celebrating Australia’s diversity and the unifying power of football.
“Through partnerships like this one with CommBank, we’re inspiring millions and connecting communities across the region.”

For CommBank, this partnership with the AFC expands its coverage of Australian soccer, which is best illustrated by its major six-year primary sponsorship deal with the Football Australia governing body.
That deal, which covers all levels of the Football Australia organization, was struck earlier in 2025, with CommBank becoming the naming rights partner of the men's national soccer team (the Socceroos).
CommBank has already served as the naming rights partner of the women's national team – the Matildas – for the last four years, an element that was also extended through the six-year agreement.
Across 2025, CommBank has, in fact, scaled back its sponsorship commitments with the Cricket Australia governing body as it focuses heavily on soccer.
