English Premier League soccer champions Liverpool have brought in global online payment service PayPal as a new commercial partner.
Through a multi-year tie-up unveiled today, PayPal has struck a sponsorship deal with a Premier League side for the first time, officially becoming the Merseyside club's official digital payments partner.

Through the tie-up, PayPal branding will appear at the club's Anfield stadium during games, as well as at the St Helens venue where the Liverpool Women's team play most of their home fixtures.
In addition, the partnership will allow PayPal+ loyalty program members to gain points and Liverpool-based exclusive perks and rewards when making matchday purchases.
As well as this, PayPal becomes Liverpool's preferred digital payment method on its various web and mobile platforms and, from now on, "will be featured more prominently on checkout and payment screens" across the club's ecommerce channels.
Geoff Seeley, PayPal's chief marketing officer, has now said: "Our global collaboration with LFC reinforces our relationship with sports fans everywhere, building on our world-class professional and collegiate sports partnerships around the world."

By GlobalDataPayPal, in late June, announced a partnership with US collegiate sports’ elite Big 10 and Big 12 conferences.
Both college conferences will work to integrate PayPal and Venmo payment solutions across their operations, both in sport and otherwise.
Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at Liverpool, added: "PayPal is the original brand known for trust in digital payments, and we’re delighted to welcome them to the LFC family. Their expertise in powering payments around the world makes them the ideal partner to help us elevate the experience for supporters worldwide.”
In terms of recent Liverpool commercial activity, earlier this month the club extended their sponsorship deal with soft drink giant Coca-Cola, and also agreed a new global partnership with technology company Trimble.
Coca-Cola has also, in the last 24 hours, renewed its partnership with fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur, through the 2027-28 season.
For the next two and a half seasons, Coca-Cola becomes the soft drinks partner of both the men's and women's Spurs teams.
The initial partnership between the North London club and Coca-Cola came into effect in 2022, with that first deal valued by GlobalData Sport (at the time) at $1.5 million per year. It had – up until this renewal – been set to expire in mid-2026.
This renewed deal, the club have said, will "see an increased focus on profiling our women's team," while the full range of Coca-Cola products will also be available for purchase on matchdays at the club's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham's chief revenue officer, Ryan Norys, has commented: "We are thrilled to be extending this partnership with a renewed focus on empowering the continued growth of our women’s team and engaging with fans."
Tottenham currently sit fifth in the 20-team 2025-26 Premier League table, with Liverpool – enduring a disappointing campaign so far – lying in eighth.
