US college sports’ newly rebuilt Pac-12 conference has consolidated its domestic coverage by securing a five-year deal with USA Sports, the newly established sports division of Versant, the cable company recently spun off from media giant NBCUniversal.
USA Sports will air 22 American football games per year, as well as 50 men’s basketball games and up to 10 women’s basketball games through the 2030-31 campaign.

Pac-12 Enterprises, the broadcast production arm of the conference, will produce all games on USA Network in partnership with USA Sports.
The partnership starts from the 2026-27 academic year, when the current two-team Pac-12 of Oregon State and Washington State adds six teams — Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Utah State, and Texas State.
Pac-12 has been rebuilt over the past year after 10 of its 12 members left to join the ACC, Big Ten, and Big 12 in recent years.
Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould said: “The new Pac-12 is where tradition meets transformation — a unique opportunity in the rapidly evolving college sports landscape that strongly aligns with the go-forward vision of USA Sports.

By GlobalData“We are thrilled to launch this partnership with the USA Sports team and leverage our shared vision to build something unique and special.”
The deal completes the Pac-12’s next domestic rights cycle, which coincides with the conference’s expansion next year. USA Sport is the league’s biggest broadcast partner, with the CW and CBS also broadcasting Pac-12 action.
CW renewed its rights agreement in August, taking its contract through the 2030-31 season. It will air 13 college football regular-season games per year, 35 men’s and 15 women’s basketball regular-season games, as well as the women’s basketball conference semifinal and championship games.
CBS also secured a separate rights extension with Pac-12 that also runs through the 2030-31 academic year, with CBS covering at least three Pac-12 college football games and men’s basketball fixtures, as well as the championship games from each sport. The CBS Sports Network will show up to 10 regular-season football matches.
Matt Hong, President of USA Sports, said: “Our partnership further establishes USA Network as a destination for all sports fans, with weekends packed with Pac-12 football doubleheaders and men’s and women’s basketball double- and triple-headers beginning next fall.”
Announced earlier this week, USA Sports serves as the umbrella business division and consumer-facing brand that covers Versant’s burgeoning sports portfolio, including soccer’s English Premier League, golf’s PGA and LPGA tours, motor racing’s NASCAR, basketball’s WNBA, and professional wrestling’s WWE.
In total, USA Sports represents over 10,000 hours of content each year between event coverage, shoulder programming, and ancillary content. Most of this content will be disseminated on the USA Network linear channel and the Golf Channel sport-specific offering.
The unit will be headed by Matt Hong, who was appointed to lead Versant’s sports operations earlier in 2025.
