Through the deal, Carlyle's branding will be featured on this year's Red Bull race car, as well as across assets such as the car chassis, drivers' team kit, the pit wall, and "garage environment" at Grands Prix. The deal will be activated across the worldwide F1 calendar.

A joint statement released has outlined that the two parties will "open new avenues for engagement, deepen global connectivity, and pursue data and technology-enabled initiatives," with the ultimate aim of "broadening access across private markets and Formula 1."

Laurent Mekies, chief executive and team principal at Red Bull Racing, has said: "As an iconic firm in global finance, Carlyle brings a long-term perspective with an expansive network, and we look forward to building a powerful partnership on and off the track."

Mekies stepped into the main Red Bull hot seat after the sacking of previous Red Bull Racing supremo Christian Horner – after a 20-year reign – in early July.
