Betano, the sports betting brand owned by Kaizen Gaming, has added the upcoming Copa America Femenina, the women’s edition of South America’s national teams soccer competition, to its growing sponsorship portfolio in that region.

Under an agreement with the Conmebol governing body, Betano will serve as an official sponsor of this year’s competition, taking place in Ecuador from July 12 to August 2.

As part of its sponsorship, the betting firm will also have naming rights to the player of the match prize, to be called the “MVP Betano” award.

Betano was also a partner of the men’s Copa America last year in the United States.

That agreement formed part of a broader partnership with Conmebol running through 2028.

In addition to supporting Copa America Femenina, the partnership sees Betano sponsor the Conmebol Pre-Olympic tournament, Copa América Futsal men and women, and Copa América Beach Soccer.

Alejandro Domínguez, President of Conmebol, said: “Women’s football is gaining unprecedented momentum across South America. There is still much work ahead, but having partners like Betano by our side will enable us to elevate women’s football across the continent to new heights.”

Earlier this month, Betano was named as a regional partner in South America for the FIFA Club World Cup competition.

Betano has developed a strong presence in South American soccer and most recently became the shirt sponsor of Argentinian heavyweights River Plate, adding to title sponsorship deals for the top-tier leagues in Argentina and Brazil.
