Iconic tire brand Michelin has agreed a partnership with motorcycling’s FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) covering the 2027-31 cycle.
Through a five-season deal unveiled today, France-based Michelin will be the series' official and exclusive tire supplier during that cycle.
It will displace Italian brand Pirelli in that role – Pirelli has been the single tire supplier for WorldSBK since 2004.
Pirelli will be replaced in two years, once the current tie-up it has with Dorna Sports (WorldSBK's organizer and promoter) through the 2026 campaign expires. That last deal got underway with the 2024 season.
Through the new agreement, Michelin will supply tires to all categories under the WorldSBK umbrella (including the World SSP, WorldSBP, and WorldWCR properties).
Dorna has said that Michelin will "focus specifically on continuous improvement in tire quality, durability, and safety, aligning closely with the championship’s high technical standards and competitive spirit."

The 2025 WorldSBK championship (the 35th edition of the series) began in Australia in late February and runs through to Spain in mid-October (with the final round title sponsored by Pirelli).
The next race on the 2025 schedule will be held at the Donington Park circuit in England in mid-July.
In terms of Michelin's motorcycling presence, meanwhile, the tire heavyweight also has a deal in place with fellow Dorna property MotoGP, through 2026.
In addition, it is the official tire supplier to the FIM MotoE World Cup, the electric motorbike support series for MotoGP.
