
HBA Media, the UK-based horse racing agency, has secured multiple new broadcast deals for the upcoming 151st edition of the Kentucky Derby, one of the US' most prestigious horse races.
Overall, 18 broadcasters will air the event in over 170 territories.
Six new broadcast partners have been added for this year’s race – Abu Dhabi Media in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), FanCode (India), Netkeiba (Japan), Megamedia (Chile), Viaplay (Scandinavia and Netherlands), and D-Smart (Turkey).
Additional international broadcasters include WeDo Sports (Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar), Yas TV (MENA), SuperSport (Africa), CityTV (Canada), ESPN/Disney+ (South America and Caribbean), Racing TV and Sky Sports Racing (UK & Ireland), Virgin Media (Ireland), Polsat (Poland), Setanta (Eurasia and Baltics), SilkNet (Georgia), and WeDo Sports (Germany, Switzerland and Austria).
Domestic coverage will be provided by the major NBC Universal national network, which renewed its deal last year until 2032.
Meanwhile, Sport24 will make the race available on 12 airlines and 18 cruise ships globally.

The 2025 Kentucky Derby, the first leg of this year's Triple Crown, will take place on Saturday (May 3) at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky.

HBA Media is coming to the end of its three-year contract to sell rights to the Kentucky Derby, covering the 2023–2025 period.
