Pepsi-Cola North America, a longtime partner of PGA Professionals and a veteran supporter of PGA member and spectator championships, has extended its partnership with The PGA of America through 2012. Pepsi, Lipton and Aquafina will continue as the respective official soft drink, iced tea and bottled water of The PGA of America throughout the course of the new agreement. Gatorade, a product of PepsiCo, continues as the official sports drink and will be distributed through the Pepsi-Cola North America system.

Pepsi-Cola became a partner of The PGA of America in 1993, with Lipton joining in 1995 and Aquafina in 1996. Pepsi is a presenting partner, and Lipton is a supporting partner of Golf Retirement PlusTM, the supplemental retirement program that serves PGA Professionals. In addition, Pepsi offers a preferred beverage program to the more than 10,000 PGA member facilities nationwide and supports PGA of America broadcasting, hospitality and merchandise commitments.

‘The PGA of America is extremely proud of its longstanding relationship with Pepsi and the dedication its representatives nationwide have displayed in support of PGA Professionals and our spectator and member championships,’ PGA of America President M.G. Orender said. ‘The value of the Pepsi portfolio of brands makes it the leader in providing the best service and products to PGA facilities nationwide.’

‘We’re delighted to continue to serve so many golfers and golf fans around the country through this relationship, which has grown every year,’ said Brian Cornell, president of Pepsi-Cola North America’s foodservice division. ‘The PGA of America is always working to enhance the skill set of its members, and as our relationship enters its second decade, we will do our best to help each PGA of America member facility grow its business.’

Founded in 1916, The PGA of America is a not-for-profit organization composed of more than 27,000 men and women PGA Professionals who are dedicated to growing the game of golf.
