Pan-american Sports Network -PSN- has announced that will broadcast live and exclusive to the Latin American Pay-TV audience two of the most prestigious tournaments in Latin America: Copa MERCOSUR and Copa MERCONORTE.

PSN will offer the Latin American football fans a comprehensive coverage of this tournament. The Copa MERCOSUR started on July 21 with a match between Brazilian team Flamengo and the Uruguayan Nacional de Montevideo that finished with the victory of Flamengo (2-0).

PSN will air live and exclusive for Latin America 66 matches of the Copa MERCOSUR with the best teams from Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brasil and Paraguay. The Copa MERCOSUR will be on PSN’s screen from July 21 until December 19.

The teams that will participate in the Copa MERCOSUR are: Flamengo, Gremio, Cruzeiro, Vasco da Gama, Palmeiras, Corinthians, Sao Paulo (Brasil), River Plate, Independiente, Talleres CBA, San Lorenzo, Boca Juniors, Velez Sarsfield (Argentina), Nacional, Peñarol, (Uruguay), Universidad Católica, Universidad de Chile, Colo Colo (Chile), Cerro Porteño, Olimpia (Paraguay).

PSN’s coverage of Copa MERCONORTE will begin on July 31 with the match between Aucas (Ecuador) and Necaxa (México). PSN will broadcast live and exclusive throughout Latin America (except Brazil) 38 matches with the best teams from Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, México, Perú and EEUU.

The Copa MERCONORTE will kick-off on July 31 and will finished on December 19. The teams that will take place in the Copa MERCONORTE are: Aucas, Barcelona, EMELEC (Ecuador), América de Cali, Atlético Nacional, Millonarios (Colombia), Chivas Guadalajara, Santos Laguna, Necaxa (México), Blooming, Deportivo Italchacao (Venezuela), Alianza Lima, Universitario, Sporting Cristal (Perú), New York Metrostars and Kansas City Wizards (EEUU).

In addition, the live and exclusive coverage of Copa MERCONORTE and Copa MERCOSUR on PSN will be reinforced with special minisites and a web page of ‘Show de goles’ on PSN.com where the Latin American audience will have access to the information on both tournaments: from the tournament calendar to the results, as well as articles, exclusive interviews and the opportunity to access the video highlights of the games broadcasted by PSN.
