Pan-american Sports Network -PSN- the leading panregional pay TV sports network in Latin America, announced today the acquisition of the broadcasting rights of the Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League starting on November 5.
PSN will offer the Latin American baseball fans a comprehensive coverage of the Santurce Crabbers, the most competitive team of the second baseball league of the world after the US Major League Baseball.
The Puerto Rican players of the US Major League return to their country to dispute this championship as a preambul of the Caribbean Series, which is disputed by the winners of the Dominican, Mexican, Venezuelan and Puerto Rico Leagues.
PSN will broadcast 10 Santurce Crabbers games exclusive for Latin America and up to 14 more games of the regular season that will end on January 2002.

The Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League is well known for being the birthplace of young talents which are signed up by the best teams of the US Major League Baseball. The Puerto Rico Professional Baseball League was founded in 1939 and since then has brought up hundreds of successful players such as Ivan Rodríguez, Rafael Palmero o Juan González. Others, such as Stevenson Agosto, Juan C. Romero, Bryan Ward, Angel García, Eric Ireland, Grant Robert or Andres Pagán, among others, are active players of teams such as New York Mets, Boston Red Socks, Cincinnati Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks, Cleveland Indians, or San Diego Patriots.
In addition, the broadcast of the Puerto Rico Baseball League will be narrated by former Boston Red Socks Puerto Rican legend, José Santiago, as well as PSN commentator, Nicolás Pereira.
