In a recent statement, SNG’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Mike Trussell stated that ‘not only is SNG one of the world’s leading companies in satellite uplinks and TV production equipment for ‘live’ sporting events, breaking news stories etc but, with recent investment into other successful company’s, their aim was to have the best and most up to date facilities available at each location and offer clients a true ‘one-stop shop’ facility’.
Operating from the London Broadcast Centre in SW London, SNG offer a diverse range of broadcast facilities, with transportable and flyaway satellite systems based around the world. Three fully equipped and air-conditioned studios, cameras and crewing, a Teleport and MCR, video streaming & IP services and an ability to deliver an end-to-end and hassle free solution for broadcasters.
In addition, the new Westminster Studio offers a facility in Westminster with arguably ‘the best live shot in London’. The studio backdrop offers a clear view of Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames – the shot is real not an image created by chromakey. The studio also offers a ‘live’ roof position with panoramic views of London including the London Eye. The positions are linked to several satellite uplink facilities by fibre and microwave so clients can easily feed to destinations worldwide. Other services at the studio include a MCR, tape playout facilities and video streaming.
SNG is also a major shareholder of the Beirut Media Center with offices and studios in downtown Beirut, Lebanon. The facilities offer full production services including a MCR, video streaming and a fully equipped studio for ‘live’ programme transmission via satellite. The studio offers cameras and crewing with an excellent backdrop of the Prime Minister’s Palace and a ‘live’ roof position offering panoramic views of downtown Beirut or looking out towards the Mediterranean.
