Havas Play will lead World Rowing’s global sponsorship sales mandate.
The 2024-25 figure of R238 million is still an improvement from the three years of losses before 2023-24.
The agency will exclusively distribute the international rights for the FIS World Championships from 2026 to 2029.
The agreement covers the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland) and runs from the 2025-26 campaign through 2027-28.
The payments giant has sponsored the NFL since 1995, but will allow the sponsorship to lapse after the current campaign.
The two parties first partnered up in 2016, with the bank then taking over title sponsorship duties in 2023.
Subscribers will gain access to WR’s top competitions, including the new Beach Sprint Finals.
