AC Milan, the heavyweights from Italian soccer’s top-tier Serie A, have expanded their presence in China with a new office.

The premises in Shanghai will be a key base in further developing the club’s commercial and communication strategies in China.

In addition, Milan have entered a partnership with  PacificPine, China’s premier sports academy, to open the first Milan Academy Shenzhen.

Milan established themselves in China in 2017 with the opening of an office in Beijing, their first outside Italy.

This is said to have provided the club with a physical presence in a key market to manage partnership opportunities and its social media channels in China.

Milan have various local fan clubs in China, while its men's and legends teams have played matches in the market, and the club is now active on seven of the country's leading social platforms – Weibo, WeChat Official Account, WeChat Channels Account, Toutiao, Douyin, Dongqiudi and Oasis – with a total of 3.8 million followers.
